Di Shifele – Scream to God, He always listens The powerful words written by King David in Tehillim (Psalms) take on new and profound meaning with this stirring melody, composed based on a true story that occurred to R’ Isaac Lefkowitz during the recent war between Israel and Iran. On June 14, 2025, all airports in Israel were shut down. A 13-year-old boy urgently needed life-saving surgery in the USA. With no other way to help, R’ Isaac boarded a small sailboat to get the boy to his surgery. The journey was treacherous, the waves crashing fiercely against the boat. As it rocked in the storm, R’ Isaac cried out, “Vayitzakee el Hashem!” — and in that moment, with tears in his eyes, he composed this heartfelt song.
