Many, including myself have associated this time of year with fear and trepidation... the truth is it's a time of love and compassion! אלול is known to stand for the words אני לדודי ודודי לי- "I am to my Beloved, and my Beloved is to me"... the only thing to fear is to let this time pass us by and not take advantage of it!
