The second time the Rebbe discussed the Sefarim in depth was Chanukah 5746 (during the trail itself); in these talks the Rebbe spoke (the classic language of the Chabad past: there was a קטרוג (an objection on High) to the spreading so much Chassidus that needs to be addressed and corrected [by spreading even more Chassidus]. However, on Chamisha BiTeves 5747 (when the case was won) the Rebbe said that there’s is no way Agudas Chassidei Chabad wasn’t doing enough, and as such the קטרוג is unjustified.
