Chanayni was composed and recorded 23 years ago.
Never released!
Lyrics:
Chanayni Hashem chanayni, ki aleicha ekrah kol hayom
Sameyach nefesh avdecha, ki aleicha Hashem nafshi essah
Translation: Hashem, show us favor, because we call to you each day. Gladen your servant's soul, for to you, Hashem, I will lift my soul!
Thank you all for watching. This was a labor of love! This was a song composed and produced more than 20 years ago. The tracks were lost and I pretty much gave up hope! Recently, at a convention, I met the arranger who commented that he still had the original song (although all on one track, thus making mixing impossible). It was in good enough condition and some of the music was so pretty and moving, that I attempted to revive this song and release it to the public. The wonderful Miriam Hershkop added some key violin, and Hillel Kapnick added some solid backing vocals to beef up the sound. Although it has that vintage sound, I hope you will enjoy the sincerity of the words, tune, and imagery. May our tefilos be answered! Amen! Warmly ~ Benzion Klatzko
