Lyrics for "Sparks"
Fell apart
It all fell apart
Except for this piece
You left in my heart
And I hang on to it
Everyday
There's a beast in me
He's fighting the man
The man who's tryin' to do good
Tryin' to understand
That we can do his best to
Bring you back down
And we're just chasing sparks
We're just chasing those ancient sparks
Said come to the garden
My sister, my wife
And I'll give you the finest things of your life
And you can get lost in the goodness of me
Things got in the way
The that we understood
We failed to do the things that we should
Now we're strugglin' everyday
And we're just chasing sparks
We're just chasing those ancient sparks
We're just chasing sparks
Give us so much of the things we must learn
Gonna hold on to this long as I can
Things we can teach them
So much more we can learn
Gonna hold on to this long as I can
We need to fall apart
Just to make our hearts yearn
Sometimes I fall apart
(Sometimes I fall apart)
(Sometimes I fall apart)
Sometimes I fall apart
(Sometimes I fall apart)
And we're just chasing sparks
We're just chasing those ancient sparks
We're just chasing sparks
We're just chasing those ancient sparks

The students of the Akiva Trip were treated to an impromptu concert featuring chart-topping super star Alex Clare on the balcony of the Aish HaTorah building overlooking the Western Wall.
The violinist is Miriam Hershkop, one of the trips leaders.
Alex Clare's break though song "Too Close" was the featured theme for Microsoft Explorer, and was listed on numerous "Top 10" charts across the globe. He is currently on sabbatical, studying in a Yeshiva in Jerusalem. As a guest speaker for Rabbi Klatzko's Akiva Trip, Alex enthralled the visiting American college students with his journey to the top of the music world, followed by the challenges that faced him when the demands of the industry jeopardized his Shabbat observance.
Alex inspired the Akiva Trip with his soulful melodies as well as his commitment to Jewish values. Prioritizing holy and eternity over fleeting fame, Alex exemplified to the students the importance and role of Judaism in their lives, a lesson not soon forgotten!
(Alex also promoted www.Shabbat.com , Rabbi Klatzko's social network and app, that helps people find places for Shabbat across the globe)
