Inspiration for Yom Kipper
In this week's "Words of Inspiration with Reb Shea," we are told of the moving story of the Klausinger Rebbe's lateness to recite Kol Nidrea. It happened after the Holocaust that the Jewish community assembled in the DP Camp waiting for the esteemed Rebbe to lead the Kol Nidre prayer. One hour past, thrn another, and another until the grand Rebbe made his appearance. After a moving tefilla, a mispallel inquired about the tardiness and the words of the Klausinger Rebbe moved him to tears. The Rebbe was about to leave to start the prayer when a nine year old girl approached him begging for a bracha as usually her father bentches her, but sadly he perished in the war. The Klausinger Rebbe blessed her with the same warmth and love any father would to his precious child. Soon another girl approached crying asking if the Rebbe can bless her as well, and he did. Before long, word spread and hundreds of girls were waiting for their turn to be blessed by the Rebbe. He gave hundreds of little girls the same bracha with the same love and attention that he did the first girl. So although he may have been late for the minyan's kol nidre, he was heavilly involved with another very important tefillah.
