Dear friends,
Chanukah is about healing the eyes. Standing by the candles on the fifth night of Chanukah, we remind ourselves that we are not here to use the light — only to see it.
So much of the world’s brokenness began when beauty was no longer just observed, but immediately measured by what it could give, what it could be used for. Tonight I ask to simply look again. To let beauty be beautiful. To let moments be moments.
When I learn to look without taking, without calculating, something opens inside me. Gratitude flows. Awe returns. And the light in front of me becomes enough.
