רגע לפני ראש השנה, הזמר החב"די מצרפת - שמיל, מגיש לטובת בעלי התפילה ברחבי העולם, ביצוע מרגש לפיוט הנודע "ונתנה תוקף" עם ניגון חב"די - 'הניגון מפולטובה', כפי שהוא מבצע זאת בעצמו בתפילות ראש השנה בשבע שנים האחרונות בבית כנסת חב"ד במילאנו, שם ניגש חזן לפני העמוד כבר 20 שנה.
ניגון מפולטובה הינו ניגון בו היה מתפלל בנעימה ודביקות המלא רגש ורעידת נשמה הרב החסיד ר' יעקב מרדכי בזפלוב ע"ה, שהיה רב בעיר פולטובה והיה מהחסידים המפורסמים של אדמו"ר המהר"ש ואדמו"ר הרש"ב מליובאוויטש.
ניגון זה הוא ניגון מ"ה בספר הניגונים של חסידות חב"ד.
שמיל המתגורר בצרפת, שר במגוון אירועים והופעות באירופה, ארה"ב, ישראל ועוד, ואהוב על הקהל בזכות האנרגיות שיא עמם מגיע לכל אירוע מחדש.
