Eli Marcus Release Tribute to Legendary Ken Burgess The songs of Ken Burgess touch the soul. Because they come from the soul. But who is Ken Burgess? Some from the previous generation will recognize his name, but he is largely unknown today. And for that reason, Eli Marcus decided to partner with Chaim Bokchin and release a tribute collection of Ken A"H's music. Ken, who was not born Jewish, was a successful producer, composer, and arranger bringing various artists to gold and platinum records. Always a spirtual person, he discovered Judaism in the early 80's and eventually converted kihalacha. After moving to Eretz Yisrael, and things were not working out, he promised Hashem that if He opened the door he would never leave the holy land. Ken produced 3 solo albums and collaborated with many great artists including MBD, Yeedle and a new talent named Ohad. Later Ken opened a high-end recording studio and bringing his new sound and production quality to Jewish music. Throughout Ken's music we find one recurring theme. Closeness to Hashem.
