"Ma Nishtana Haleila Hazeh?"—The song begins with this iconic question from the Pesach Seder, mirroring the trials of the four Galuyot (exiles): Mitzrayim, Yavan, Bavel, and the prolonged darkness of Galut Edom. "Haleila Hazeh" examines the persistent, yet often unseen light within each Galut. The song emphasizes that this Galus is the darkest of them all; in contrast, the night of the Seder everything is clear, and we are just at the peak, right at the break of dawn, symbolizing the bright emergence of redemption that we long for so much.
