Dear friends,
Chanukah is so potent that a few short lines hold everything we need. When the sages asked, "What is Chanukah?", the answer was simple: a person and their home.
Standing by the candles on the sixth night, placed at the entrance of the house, I ask for the deepest blessing there is — to feel at home in my own home. For peace to live where I live. For the light I feel by these candles to shape the way I speak, move, and show up with the people closest to me.
Because when light lives at home, it naturally finds its way out into the world.
