You’re Closer to Hashem Than the System Ever Told You

We didn’t meet Hashem for the first time at Har Sinai. We didn’t need the Torah in our hands to feel Him in our hearts. Long before the “goal” was reached, long before the mission was complete, our ancestors were already singing in the desert: “This is my God… and I will beautify this relationship.” In a world that worships outcomes, achievements, and checkboxes, this moment tells a different story....a Jewish story: Closeness doesn’t wait for arrival. Holiness doesn’t wait for perfection. We felt Hashem’s presence on the way. We knew Him while still trembling from Mitzrayim, while the future was unclear, while nothing was finished and nothing was certain. And maybe that’s the deepest teaching of all: You don’t have to “catch up.” You don’t have to “be on track.” You don’t have to arrive anywhere to be held by Hashem. Just the trying… just the turning… just the longing... that already counts. That already brings you close.
