Birkat Kohanim by the Kotel - Sukkot 2011

Tens of thousands of people gathered by the Kosel this morning for birchas cohanim. The masses of people made their way to the Kosel by car, bus, bike, but mostly by foot. Many people did not make it on time as they were planning on taking the Jerusalem light rail to City Hall and then walking down to Jaffa Gate - though no one could predict that the Light Rail drivers would pick today to go on strike. Led by the Chief Rabbis of Israel, the cohanim chanted their bracha as the klal's powerful amein could be felt across the Kosel Plaza. Immediately following birchas cohanim, the Kaliver Rebbe recited krias shema together with the crowd.
