Each Friday, we spend 10 minutes getting inspired for Shabbos.
The Holy Riziner explains that sometimes the time of year informs the Torah reading like a yuntif, and other times, the Torah reading inspires the time of year, like this shabbos, Shabbos Shira. This isn't an ordinary shabbos that we happen to read about the shira, the song the Jewish people sang when they emerged on the other side of the Yam Suf. Rather, this whole shabbos is transformed to a shabbos of shira, a shabbos of being moved to sing.
The Slonimer Rebbe suggests that in truth each shabbos has an element of being Shabbos Shira as we say Mizmor Shir L'Yom Ha'Shabbos. Shira is the spontaneous outburst of song when everything feels right, everything makes sense, all feels good and there is an overwhelming feeling of confidence that not only does Hashem exist but He loves us and is involved in each detail of our lives.
