Roughly an hour later, officers located the abandoned black Dodge Durango on a nearby street. During the investigation, officers spotted an individual believed to be possibly connected to the incident. The suspect fled on foot, leading police on a chase into the Lafayette public housing complex at 433 Lafayette Avenue. The NYPD 79th Precinct Detective Squad is on the scene conducting a full investigation, collecting evidence, and reviewing surveillance footage.
