The Guests of Honor at the Yeshiva's Inaugural Dinner, held on May 17th 2015, was Mr. Isaac Mayer z"l and his wife Mrs. Barbara Mayer. Their son, the Rosh Yeshiva, Harav Yaakov Mayer Shlit"a introduced them.
Mr. Mayer's involvement in the founding of Yeshiva Gedola Tiferes Yehuda Aryeh of Carteret was instrumental in it's success. The Yeshiva founded in 2006 by Harav Azriel Brown Shlit"a and Mr. Mayer's son, Harav Yaakov Mayer Shlit"a, was named after Mr. Isaac Mayer's older brother Mr. Leon (Yehuda Aryeh) Mayer z"l.
