Ahead of Sukkot, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu hosted a delegation of Chabad rabbis, and received from them the four species. The rabbis presented the Prime Minister with a collection of the old Rebbe's "Tanya" books that were printed in various places in Lebanon, during the First Lebanon War in 1982. The prime minister thanked the rabbis who strengthened him to continue the campaign until the complete victory was achieved, and wished them and the entire nation of Israel a happy Sukkot holiday. Prime Minister Netanyahu: "We need courage, cunning, and cunning. War is a long thing - it is not a plan as you wish. There are better days and there are less good days, but the main thing is to strive for victory." The meeting was attended by, among others, a member of the presidency of the Chabad rabbinical court, Rabbi Chaim Leibovitz; Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluchovsky and Rabbi Avraham Michael Halperin; and the chairman of the Chabad Association's youth, Rabbi Yitzhak Aharonov. לקראת חג הסוכות תשפ"ה, אירח ראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו משלחת רבני חב"ד, וקיבל ממנה את ארבעת המינים. הרבנים הציגו לראש הממשלה לקט ספרי ה"תניא" של האדמו״ר הזקן שהודפסו במקומות שונים בלבנון, בזמן מלחמת לבנון הראשונה ב-1982. ראש הממשלה הודה לרבנים שחיזקו אותו להמשיך במערכה עד להשגת הניצחון המוחלט, ואיחל להם ולכלל עם ישראל חג סוכות שמח. ראש הממשלה נתניהו: "אנחנו נדרשים לעוז, לתחבולה ולסיעתא דשמיא. מלחמה זה דבר ארוך - זו לא תכנית כבקשתך. יש ימים יותר טובים ויש ימים פחות טובים, אבל העיקר זה לחתור לניצחון". בפגישה השתתפו בין-היתר חבר נשיאות בית הדין של רבני חב"ד, הרב חיים ליבוביץ; הרב מנחם מענדל גלוכובסקי והרב אברהם מיכאל הלפרין; ויו"ר צעירי אגודת חב"ד, הרב יצחק אהרונוב.
