We explore the next passuk in Tehillim ch. 37 passuk 6 where King David says that the one who trusts in Hashem - Hashem will cause their light to come out and shine like the afternoon sun. This expresses the gradual nature of our work on Bitachon - we can not skip steps, just as the sun does not shine all at once, but rather the light of the day develops as the day progresses.
