Hundreds of friends and family members were on hand to participate in the first summer aliyah arrival ceremony of 2013. Arriving from JFK in New York, the chartered Nefesh B'Nefesh aliyah flight brought a large number of new young olim to Israel, as well as Gilad Shalit. Among the speakers at the arrival ceremony were Natan Sharansky and MK Dov Lipman. A highlight of the event was a surprise engagement proposal.
