I mean the kind of panic where your heart drops into your stomach and your mind starts imagining the worst possible things. And then I found him. Calm. Relaxed. Completely unaware that someone was desperately searching for him. And I suddenly realized something terrifying: Maybe that’s us. Maybe Hashem watches millions of His children wandering through life disconnected from their souls, disconnected from Torah, disconnected from who they really are… while we calmly continue scrolling, shopping, eating, laughing, living — completely unaware that our Father is desperately trying to bring us home.
