Self-Care ideas (Personal), Coach Menachem, Class# 65
Description
There is research that suggests that people who have a strong sense of spirituality or religiousness may be less likely to experience depression. Studies have shown that individuals who participate in religious or spiritual practices, such as prayer or meditation, are less likely to experience symptoms of depression, have a more positive outlook on life, and better coping mechanisms to deal with stress. In addition, having a sense of purpose or belief in something greater than oneself can provide a sense of meaning and fulfillment, which can also contribute to a lower risk of depression. However, it's worth noting that this is a complex field and more research is needed to understand the relationship between spirituality, religiousness, and mental health.
