As we approach the Shalosh Regalim in their respective times, let's remember that we once had a Bais Hamikdash and all that went on there... On Pesach, we brought the Korban Pesach and sang Hallel... On Shavuos, we brought the Korban Chaggiga, and the Shtei Halachem was brought as well... On Sukkos, we circled the Mizbeiach with the Arba Minim and with the Arava on Hoshana Rabba. We danced all night long by the Simchas Bais Hashoeiva... And now we wait, daven, and yearn for its rebuilding. We daven "Melech Rachaman" every one of the Shalosh Regalim, begging Hashem to return that unbelievably awesome glory that once was in the Bais Hamikdash, and to allow us to go back up to Yerushalyim and bring those Korbanos once again and feel the Shechina like never before. It is my hope that the strains in this piece, "Melech Rachaman", reflect those feelings. (This song is purely vocals so it can be listened to in the Three Weeks and Sefirah).
