Description

Bichukosai 27: (21,) 28, 29 Cherem. There are many types of נדרים (vows), one is called חרם; and I couldn’t understand why this is a vow. I was especially intrigued since the same expression is used to describe a condemned man. חרם actually means to condemn, but often what we condemn only belongs to us in part and when we condemn (disown our part of it) Hashem takes it back.
