Mizmor Ledovid the Story – מזמור לדוד The text of this 23rd Perek of Tehillim (Psalms) beginning with the words Mizmor Ledovid –מזמור לדוד, is unquestionably one of the most beloved and well-known chapters of Tehillim. Its recitation in the Kabbolas Shabbos Tefilos as well as its being sung during the Shabbos meals, have contributed to its prominence as one of the important Zemiros Texts we have. At the very beginning, when we embarked on the journey of creating the Nusach Green Project, בס"ד, we knew that this task was going to be one of our great challenges; to בס"ד succeed in writing a singable melody that could, and would, hopefully, be sung by the entire congregation together in the Shul on Shabbos Night before Olainu. Here then is our effort as sung by the great Liturgical Choir conducted, arranged and produced by Srulik Herstik and led by the warm voice of the world-renowned Baal Tefila, Avremi Roth. Yehuda Galili arranged the music masterfully, as he does with every song he touches.
