Suspect in Monroe Police Manhunt Arrested in Connecticut After Continued Search Efforts

On Motzai Shabbos, Monroe Police investigated what appeared to be an abandoned vehicle parked in Smith Clove Park, but found a man asleep inside. When officers approached the vehicle and woke him, the suspect suddenly jumped out and fled on foot into the nearby woods. Police confirmed that the vehicle the suspect had been sleeping in was stolen, which explained his immediate escape. Authorities launched a search with officers from Monroe Police, State Police, Woodbury Police, Chester Police, and Tuxedo Police, and about half an hour later, police received a report that the man had been spotted behind homes in the heimish area on Franklin Avenue.
