Description
Traffic came to a halt on the 446 highway when a tractor collided with a gas tanker, rupturing the side and causing hundreds of liters of gasoline to spill over the highway. As rescue personnel and volunteers cleared a perimeter around the spill, police and IDF troops ensured that people in the traffic queue killed their engines, as it was feared that the fumes from the gasoline could be combustible. A lot of traffic and several hours later, the roads were washed by firefighters to usable levels. The only entrance to Modi'in Illit was shut down for a good part of the morning (Yehuda Boltshauser - Kuvien Images)
