Drivers in Boro Park faced major delays today as 14th Avenue was closed for repaving from 56th Street down to 46th Street.
The work forced hundreds of school buses to take detours, clogging surrounding streets and avenues with bumper-to-bumper traffic.
City buses were also rerouted to 15th Avenue, adding to the congestion there.
The congestion was compounded by a construction project at 45th Street and 14th Avenue, which slowed incoming traffic from 15th Avenue and 45th Street.
