The last Community Board 12 meeting with David Greenfield as councilman took place Tuesday evening. Greenfield spoke about his accomplishments throughout the year and wished everyone well. He is leaving office and taking up a position as the head of the Met Council Non-Profit. The Met Council provides comprehensive social services to aid, sustain, and empower poor and near-poor New Yorkers. Councilman-elect Kalmen Yeger will be taking over in January. Greenfield ended off by with season’s greetings and thank you’s to the crowd. “Continued success to all of you,” David Greenfield wished the attendees,” and really, thank you for your public service. Have a wonderful evening” The meeting was ended with heartfelt goodbyes to Councilman Greenfield. “I know how big all of your accomplishments are,” Yidel Pearlstein, Chairman of Community Board 12, closed the evening; “We wish you luck, on behalf of the board.” From the entire community, a heartfelt thank you and goodbye to David Greenfield; looking forward to seeing great accomplishments from Kalman Yeger.
