Over the past decade, the West Orange and Livingston communities have realized unprecedented growth and demand for additional services, including Hatzalah, has grown as well. This past year has certainly highlighted how crucial emergency medical services and rapid response can be, as they can often mean the difference between life and death.

Our newly-formed West Orange/Livingston branch of Hatzalah will be made up of your neighbors and friends, trained to provide pre-hospital emergency medical treatment and transportation to anyone who needs it, at no cost, 24/7/365. Hatzalah's 50 plus year track record and proven 2-tier response system will allow us to quickly respond by using first-response vehicles and ambulances, located throughout the community. This ensures that medical care begins before an ambulance arrives.

Under the leadership of several active Hatzalah members, with a combined 70 years of Hatzalah and 911 experience, we have 20+ EMTs, including several other veteran Hatzalah members and newly-trained responders. These volunteers are prepared to put their own lives on pause to respond to emergency medical calls, often leaving their families, offices, Shabbat meals, family events, and warm beds when someone is in need.
