The song Kavei was composed for my Bar Mitzvah by my father Yaakov Meir (Jay) Kaplowitz Z"L. My father was a very special person, who has had a profound influence on me and many others across the world. I am who I am today because of the love and inspiration that my father gave me. He passed away suddenly last year, on the 13th of Elul, leaving a gaping void in our family.

My father was also a singer and composer, and he would compose a new song for every family simcha. I had been planning for a long time to record these special nigunim together with my father but in his absence I've undertaken the task of sharing his beautiful music with the world.

May the neshama of Yaakov Meir Ben Betzalel have an Aliyah.
