Shortly before Shabbos, a Boro Park Chaveirim member literally saved a home on East 7th Street from going up in flames after a dryer caught fire.
The homeowner immediately called Boro Park Chaveirim. Volunteers arrived within moments and used a fire extinguisher to knock down the flames while they were controlled, stopping the fire before it could spread and cause major damage.
FDNY soon arrived on the scene, secured the area, and confirmed the home was safe for occupancy.
