Shomrim has released surveillance and drone footage showing suspects caught in the act of stealing mail from residential mailboxes across Boro Park, following a series of incidents over the past several days.
According to Shomrim, multiple groups were observed targeting neighborhood mailboxes, raising concerns due to the risk of stolen checks, personal information, and sensitive documents.
In incidents captured on video over two nights, Shomrim volunteers tracked multiple suspects stealing mail from neighborhood mailboxes using surveillance and a drone, leading to NYPD arrests after one group was caught on foot and another crashed their vehicle while attempting to flee, with stolen mail recovered at the scene.
