The Torah, as described by King Solomon (Proverbs 3:18, 17), is a tree of life. When we hold fast to the ways of the torah, it will bring us the best kind of life. Success comes through acting in a pleasant and peaceful way, for those are the ways of the Torah. This melody was composed by Tanchum Portnoy, whom I had the honor to meet at a recent wedding, and originally appeared on his Tanchumin album in 1975. Jewish music is the soundtrack to our lives. At every milestone, holiday or mitzva, it enhances and enlivens our experience and service of Hashem.
